| Current mood: I realized after my last blog (rant) that if anybody reads it, they'll wonder what's going on and why does it feel as if they're coming in on the middle of a conversation. Well, to be fair you are coming in on the middle but then again, I feel that way too. So, let's recap. I'm a CCT Paramedic for Cabell County EMS. If you're wonder what that is, don't worry, you are not alone. I don't know either. I mean I used to know and it seemed cool, kinda important and a real accomplishment. But now, I just a bitch for the system. And not just my companies system, oh no! My company had pimped me out, like their prison ho. Now Cabell Huntington Hospital gets a turn on me when ever CCEMS isn't using me. Butt wait there's more! If neither one of them aren't in the mood to screw me, they pass me around to St Mary's, Logan General, CAMC/Whatever or anyother facility that might give up a dollar for a turn on me. Why does he put up with this, you may be asking. Well, it was good for a long time, but CCEMS has outgrown me. It wants younger(dumber), healthier, go getters (idiots) to take over. So I've decided to go back to school and become a Respiratory Therapist. I due to retire in 2 years and it take 2 years to finish RT school. Good plan right? CCEMS should be happy. I'm making room for the young bloods and furthering myself in the process. At least that's how I thought it would go. Oh, HELL NO! They don't want me, but they don't me to go either. The powers that be says they're happy I'm trying to further myself, but they aren't going to make any concessions to assit me. That's fine if it was left at that. What they really meant was, this ho makes us too much money, we can't let him go easy. As a result, I can't transfer off the CCT truck (even though it was supposed to be a voluntary assignment), they relieved us of our saftey driver, and to top it off my partner quit and there isn't any CCT medics to put me with. I've had my trade time with non-CCT medics canceled and was notified I can only trade with CCT medics. This is such an awesome thing, my trade poolwent from 25-30 to 4-5 individuals. I'm stoaked! I get to miss my classes this Tuesday (9/16) because of this NEW policy! Oh, I forgot to mention that they often pimp me out for late nighters causing me to get off work late (I've already missed one class this way). My grades are all A's so far in school, but I can be dropped from the program for missing too much. I'm alotted 64 hours a year before expulsion, but I lose a grade point after 24. I've missed 1.5 hours so far. Only 62.5 to go. I'll keep the reader up to date on this development as well as my average I class (98.2 is an average of all 6 classes). Check back and I'll keep ranting. |
